What we do.
We are delighted to provide musical entertainment for a range of events – from those run by the local council – to private events. We have a varied repertoire ranging from pop to swing to movie themes.
The band is a registered charity, and is totally self-supporting without any sponsorship. None of the band members receive any payment for services rendered. We do request minimal payment for performances to help cover the costs of music, instruments, uniforms etc.
The Band’s main aim is to fulfil and support charity events and provide the opportunity to play, for those residing in the locality. Members pay a small subscription to offset the costs of hiring practise rooms.
The band regularly makes charitable donations to local charities. Recently we have enjoyed a strong connection with Chestnut Tree House. In 2012 we donated in excess of £2,000 which enabled them to buy music boxes for the children to enjoy.
